Kevin Cumming is Rewilding Director of Rewilding Britain, where he oversees their policy work, supports the development of the Rewilding Network and builds engagement with landowners interested in or on their rewilding journey. Kevin has degrees in both business and conservation and a background in charity governance, continuous cover forestry, rural estate management and falconry. He led the first ever large-scale community land buyout in the south of Scotland and the first in Britain to be for the purpose of rewilding.

Steve Micklewright is the Chief Executive Officer of Trees for Life. Steve has worked in nature conservation for over 25 years, including as Director of BirdLife Malta and previously for organisations including the Wildlife Trusts, WWF and Campaign for the Protection of Rural England. He has placed a strong focus on the benefits of nature for the health and wellbeing of people throughout his career, and has worked on many forestry and woodland conservation projects.

Lisa is an ecologist with 30 years’ experience in marine and terrestrial nature conservation, with a particular focus on partnerships and community engagement. Her proudest achievements include leading the National Biodiversity Network, influencing and strengthening the Marine and Coastal Access Act (2009), and creating and performing the world’s first televised underwater puppet show! She joined SCOTLAND: The Big Picture in 2025, attracted by the rewilding charity’s exceptional storytelling and the impact of initiatives such as the Northwoods Rewilding Network.

Dr Karen Blackport is an experienced scientist, entrepreneur, and advocate for nature restoration. Following a 22-year career in the international biotechnology sector, she transitioned into environmental work and has spent the past five years dedicated to ecological recovery and community rewilding. In 2023, Karen founded Bright Green Nature, a grassroots charity based in the Scottish Borders, focused on inclusive, community-led nature restoration. She also manages Faldonside Eco LLP, a small rural estate committed to sustainable land use and market gardening, and lives near Melrose with her young family and lots of animals.

From their central Scotland farm, Tom and his family run Argaty Red Kites, an award-winning rewilding project. The Bowsers have played a key role in restoring Red Kites, and were the first private landowners to legally release beavers into the wild in Scotland. Tom is an author, wildlife guide and public speaker.
